Hrm, they've currently reached their invite limit and then asks for my name and email?? Guess I've reached my sharing of name and email limit. Perhaps they can ask again later...

Why can't someone just run a google sized version of this app -- and index our facial features for future use outside of the web....

This reminds me of some work we did in the Intel Labs back in 2003 and presented in a concept video and discussion at Intel Developer Forum that year for what types of applications would need support in 10 years (or 2013, at the time). This was only one of four scenarios we pictured, others included an advanced use of Google/Panoramio/Facebook/Twitter photo/commenting that was retained geographically by GPS location; and making advanced medical technologies available in third-world/distant/resource-poor locations through new communications protocols and remote sensor devices; and another scenario using sensors for tracking and responding to agricultural micro-climate conditions.

I guess we might have been off by a few years since these ideas are already becoming available to consumers/producers. So where are my flying car and commuter jet pack?

I've used the app and it is surprisingly accurate. Only one or two pictures out of hundreds were incorrectly identified. Not bad. Slightly less than 1% error rate for the photos that I have access to(unscientific guestimate, ymmv).
