Seeing this SO makes me wish Apple would let someone else make a mail application for the iPhone/Touch. The built in (and only approved for use) one sucks rocks backwards through a straw in its clumsy interface and usage.

Just downloaded the Gmail mobile app for my Blackberry Curve last night. FIrst impression: Scrolling down the subject lines is a lot smoother than the old ver. 1.5. Composing multiple drafts (offline) is a plus especially when composing multiple e-mails and not losing my train of thought. Viewing PDF attachments and pictures is very easy. The attachments come up full screen.

Overall, highly recommend this update or upgrade. You won't regret this free download.

Downloaded this as an upgrade a week or two ago. Runs well. Offline access to read & compose is nice. A bit smoother and faster.
