Many Companies are hiring specially the consulting companies. Microsoft is laying off 5000 employess but are hiring as well. I know accenture, Myconsoft, IBM, CSC, mycon are hiring but mostly are travel jobs.

Great initiative Rafe

I know that APCON in Portland Oregon (Wilsonville about 10 miles south) has real positions and also tough standards. But as of the afternoon of Wednesday January 28th they were real. www.apcon.com

Good luck to my fellow unemployed

Hey Rafe,
I've updated your spreadsheet form twice with my company http://topazbridge.com, and we still haven't shown up in the list. We need to hire 60+ people between now and July 1...help us shine some sunlight up here in Seattle!
Thanks,
Cornelius

That's really good to see a positive spin.. hope the Obama force pulls things up out of the dive and all find work soon. I was laid off in December of last year and was lucky to find work before Christmas. I was on the phones as soon as a got the news in fact.. use your networks, (linked in, contacts) cold call and persevere. something will come up.. at the end of my hunt I had 3 offers (2 full time 1 contract) ... treat finding a job as a job.

This is hilarious, if you add up all the jobs listed in this spreadsheet you come out with less than 4,000, which will barely cover just the SAP and EA layoffs. The tech sector is totally doomed.
