actually I'm sick of myspace now. You used to be able to edit the profile of your page directly, but now they have this WYSIWYG beta editor that totally sucks because it lacks the direct editing capacity of the old profile editor, and you can't switch back to the old way, which is my #1 TOP COMPLAINT about myspace now.

pretty sweet. another app i use that adds features like rollover pics, one click pokes as well as skinning is Boost, by this company called StudioLD.com. they've been around for a couple of years -u can see it at http://boost.studiold.com

Thankfully I don't have to see that junk if I don't install the app right? I really don't care about your pretty picture backgrounds - that's the single largest problem with myspace. I want info from facebook and that's what it delivers. IMO the new facebook is much, much better than the old since you no longer have to go scrolling and scrolling without end to see a persons wall.

I really don't want to see people's personalized layouts. That's part of what made myspace so obnoxious, along with all the stupid myspace bling and crap all crammed onto one page so as to freeze even the heartiest of computers. That why I really dislike facebook applications as well. So many people just love to cram their page with as many stupid apps as possible. I thought the new facebook design was a godsend, as it sent all those stupid apps to a tab in the back somewhere so I never have to look at them again...

Anyways, the point I was basically trying to make is that I'm glad that I'll never be subjected to people's new layout designs since I will definitely not install pagerage. I am opposed to anything that threatens to make facebook become more like myspace...

That this article was featured on CNET is yet another indicator that people really want to have some control over customizing their profiles. However, PageRage is not adequate solution because of the browser dependency. Facebook needs to implement this. The only way to get that done is to sign the petition and let Facebook know that you want to be able to customize your Facebook profile:

I need your help please...I had page rage and deleted the application from facebook...however on the page that comes up on facebook--the one where you click your name...there is still a page rage image in the background and it distorts my page and does not allow me to scroll down...how do I get rid of that photo which is a hypertext file photo?
