Another similar service was Craigsfindr.com, operated by John C. Dvorak's son ... until Craigs List tried to shut him down. So he's made the scripts open source. See http://savecraigsfindr.com/

A pretty handy one that does up to date searches is http://www.craigshelper.com/?i=search. Pretty slick and easy to use.

this is all OK until you find this:

http://www.CraigsPal.com

Set search with advanced keywords, OR boolean, sort by price, preview directly pages with shortcuts, and fly Robin fly!!!

This is fairly new (I think it's still in beta) but it is by far the best program I've found for searching multiple locations. http://www.craigslistwatcher.com

Google searching is OK, but the results are cached; these results are real-time.

the best Google site, in my opinion, is http://allofcraigs.com

what i like most about allofcraigs is i can view craigslist ads or what people are saying about craigslist on twitter. some of it is pretty funny. also, if you compare the search results, allofcraigs has better results with more options.

I created one of these google searches, but the data is cached on Google. Unless google is updating their craigslist content continually, the data returned from these will be a little outdated. My search is at: http://www.brianirwin.net/craigslist/searchallcraigslist.html

I would recommend using

http://www.allofcraigslist.org/

It uses Google search to automatically show Craigslist.org results from all cities at once based on keyword relevance for free without having to add any code.
