Hi Rafe. Great post. If you like TripIt, I'd like to hear what you think about Gone Together (http://www.gonetogether.com/welcome.aspx). It's more about the social aspects of business travel than about managing your business travel.

Rafe, I agree with your assessment of the cloud. I think your number 1 is correct. Video streaming is made affordable, secure and available to everyone. Tony McCune of DigitalChalk has a very good blog on cloud computing. http://tmccune.blogspot.com/ He has other insights into the cloud.

Wherever possible, I strongly support the adoption of cloud computing,

there is a hugely informative discussion on the topic on a bankers networking site that i came across - it's only open to senior executives within the banking and financial services industry, but for those of you to whom that is relevant, here's the link :

I hope that you find this useful, and hopefully can discuss some other matters with you all on there aswell,

One thing I don't understand is this notion referred to as *THE* cloud -- doesn't Google use Google's computers, doesn't Amazon use Amazon's computers, etc.?

Aren't there *many* clouds -- rather than just one?

I like the 10 benefits of the cloud listed here. I am recommending this article to followers of the trend of Modular Innovation, as well as The Product Guy, for their Weekend Reading...

Inside the Apple, er, Microsoft Store

Although Redmond's foray into retail bears a big resemblance to Apple's approach, Microsoft has added some distinctive features to draw casual PC buyers and techies alike.
