Say No to boxed software! The future of applications is online delivery and access. Software is passé. Webware is the new way to get things done.

Web sites launch all the time, but they also shut their doors. We highlight 15 that bit the dust this year.
Let the debate begin: Was the iPhone more important than iTunes? Was anything bigger than Google finding a great business model? CNET offers its list of the 10 most important stories of the '00s.
@humanssssss: people got locked up because of it? right, cuz they didn't do anything illegal.. only thing they did wrong was to use google. sheesh... like yahoo or ms wouldn't give out personal user info if the g-man asked them.. lol like anyone would ask ms for personal data collected by the search engine

The latest beta version of Internet Explorer is a "step forward in privacy protection," Mossberg says, citing IE 8's ability to prevent Web sites from collecting your personal data. That level of protection is something neither Chrome nor existing browsers like Firefox and Safari can match, while other concerns about Chrome and privacy have already emerged.
For all the hoopla over Chrome, "the second beta version of IE8 is the best edition of Internet Explorer in years," Mossberg declares in his review. "It is packed with new features of its own, some of which are similar to those in Chrome, and some of which, in my view, top Chrome's features."

It's easy. Avoid intrusive spyware, and Google KGB style spying on American citizens(Google co-founder Sergey Brin is Russian). JUST SAY NO TO CHROME!
Hmm, when surfing websites you don't control, is it better to use an application that runs on top of an OS (like most applications do) or an application that is intimately tied into the OS? IE is the plague of the internet and needs to be killed in the most gruesome fashion. Period.
Note: I haven't installed Chrome myself and see no need at this point. When on a Mac, I'm perfectly happy with Safari. When not on a Mac, Firefox is the browser for me. If Chrome gets popular enough, I might give it a spin. But for now I also have issues with a new beta browser that reports everything I do back to the mother ship.

Ummm..the Google spyware in Chrome that records every keystroke you make, and sends all that data to the Google server, had nothing to do with Microsoft or Windows. It's a henious crime that was cooked up and carried by Google all by themselves.

IE 8 is a superior browser than Chrome. Period!
