Comments on: Cloud storage providers bail out Xdrive users

AOL-owned Xdrive is going the way of dinosaurs, and hungry Web storage providers are champing at the bit to get those users to come over.

I recommend www.elephantdrive.com

they are cheap and offers unlimited storage. Good for backups and also act as your additional storage drive.

You can get a year of storage at TrueShare.com (3Gb) for just $60. Cheaper than box and WAY more features than Drop.io. They have been adding new features regularly and were a nominee in the Webware 100 a few months ago.

The easiest and fastest solution that I've across is: www.singlewrench.com
It is highly endorsed by a number of associations and is a tremendous
FTP replacement solution.

Top Notch!

Listen up Xdrive Consumers....! XDMOlson is going to hook you all up with the easiest way to transfer your Xdrive digital assets to another provider.

I know there are a lot of other providers out there, check out my previous post about the Ultimate Review List of Best Free Online Storage and Backup Application Services...

However XDMOlson is going to recommend selecting ElephantDrive for current Xdrive consumers. They have worked out an agreement with Xdrive to make transferring those digital assets over as easy as possible.

Do you have digital assets stored in either an Legacy Xdrive account or an AOL Xdrive account? Time is running out to get those assets....AOL is shutting down Xdrive on 12JAN2009....Hurry....!

I recommend choosing ElephantDrive and to make transferring those digital assets over as easy as possible just click the link http://www.elephantdrive.com/m/ct.aspx?ici=267 ...this is the Xdrive to ElephantDrive migration page.

Xdrive and ElephantDrive have worked out a process to help account holders make the transition as easy as possible especially if you don't have the time to babysit the zipping process, one of mine took over 8 hours.

ElephantDrive uses the Open Xdrive API to access your account and perform the zipping process for you. Once your accounts data is zipped up a new ElephantDrive account will be created containing your assets.

There are several other online storage competitors out there, some offering Free accounts ranging in many quotas and paid subscriptions that will cover not only individual consumers needs but SMB companies needs and subscriptions that will cover large companies enterprise needs.

Here's one list I recommend checking out;

Save yourself money and check out http://www.MyOtherDrive.com. They offer complete online backup with encryption and unattended (scheduled) operation. Most advanced sharing on the net.

My favorite feature is their "Copy To My Drive" option. Upload a file once, share it to friends, and they can copy it to their account without upload / download - very cool.

The Twelve days of Xdrive...

$86,609 that's this year's cost for the twelve days of Xmas, according to the annual "Christmas Price Index" compiled by PNC Wealth Management, which tallies the single partridge in a pear tree to the 12 drummers drumming, purchased repeatedly as the song suggests. The price is up $8,508 or 10.9 percent, from $78,100 last year.

The Xdrive service will be shutting down on January 12 2009. What will the last twelve days of Xdrive cost you? Get your music, your pictures, your documents. I would not recommend waiting until the last day. Get it done today...!
