well if SCE wants to make a new one-evn though this is crazy with not even a year with the PSP-2000-...
i would want the following:

1.Bluetooth
2.More Amplified speakers-and more speakers-than the PSP-2000
3.well, the built-in mic is part of the rumor, but just in case
4.Enhanced Keyboard (ex:QWERTY keyboard
5.IM Clients
6.Capability to go to Youtube
7. Updated Adobe Flash (ex: Flash 9)
8.Better battery life than the PSP-2000
9.Put an unscratchable surface for the LCD screen not plastic, which is scratchable
10.Put more than 64 MB of RAM for better loading times (I hate waiting!!!)
11. Built-in Hard drive of 10 GB or 20 GB
12. Able to stream LIVE TV.
13. Sports teams themes
14 Patches for any game

That's all I can think of!!!

PSP 2.0!!!! Just imagine what it could be if they put an Intel Atom in there! And we need a touchscreen, built in storage, and a second analog stick for fps goodness.

O.K, you guys are coming up with some good ideas, but only a few are actually considering things that would make it cost effective. First, you have to consider that it is an actual PORTABLE gaming device, not a cellphone from japan 10 years in the future. This devise should have improvements while still obtaining a cost of under $200. so, with that being said. ill list off some features.

1) faster loading times. i know it is a disk, but c'mon. the original playstation can read stuff faster for some games. which brings me to my next one...
2) more RAM. what is now, like 64mb? its not enough. bump it to at least 128, and now were talking. it will solve a lot of complaints if you do.
3) better value packs. the only one i saw worth while was the silver PSP w/ daxster and famaily guy video & 1 gig memory. one of the best value packs of any system out there. make more of them, with good games and videos.
4) ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS include a memory stick. the darth vader PSP pack ticked me off...
5) more software companies devoted to making exclusives instead of everything being a port. only a few games are worthy of porting, things like god of war, and sports are obvious. make more originals please.
6) its been like 3 years since this thing came out, and you havent put a 2nd analog stick on it. tisk tisk sony... shooters are only good with 2 analogs. try playing halo on a N64 controller, yeah, didnt think so.
7) battery. not asking for much, but just an hour more would be good. either that or make it charge faster.
8) better announcement. i rarely ever hear a PSP game is coming out. that would make sales better.
9) mic. that pic, if it is true, would be awsome.
10) fully customizable menu system. also, apps you can download through the store or internet. things like a mobile windows media player for the music would be stellar.
11) ok, if you did this i would definatly buy more games... downloadable map packs. medal of honer heroes 2 is the best multiplayer on the PSP ive seen, add some maps for sale. you would get more money for the same game. add fuel to the fire sony...
12) shooters. Dont flood the market even more (which im drowning in), but sony in geneeral doesnt have as many shooters compared to xbox. there widely popular so why not? P.S. call of duty 4 portable would own so much.
13) better internet browsing capacity. Again # 2. it would solve so many problems.
14) downloaded movie format update. i feel as if you should include a software disk to convert files. it kinda redicilous
15) able to download movies & music from your store right on the PSP, no PS3 required.
16) better range for the Wi-Fi
17) make memory cards cheaper. im spendin like 50 dollars to get a decent sized one. its killing my wallet.

thats all i can think of. with still making it cost effective cause most of it is just software related.

17) make memory cards cheaper. im spendin like 50 dollars to get a decent sized one. its killing my wallet.
18) Internet Video Capability. #2 bars repeating.
19) mini usb keyboard attatchment. nuff said.
20) much louder speakers. keep them in front though. you put them in the best place possible.
21) move the power switch to the top.
22) slightly larger buttons. button mashing give me cramps on the thing if i play it for more than 20 minutes.
23) games that are longer. i hate spending $40 on a game and come to find out the campaign is 3 hours. i would rater have a game take 1.5 years to make but have the campaign be 10 hours, then to have a new need for speed every christmas. im not gonna buy it if you keep doing it.
24) the whole thing. i mean it by changing the casing material. its plastic, but it feels too plastic. i basically have to carry it around like a baseball card never touched by human hands. also, im sure youve heard it a million times, but more fingerprint and scratch resistence.
25) i dont care if its even VGA, put a freakin camera on it. im not going to connect a camera to it to do stuff. its too annoying. also make it so you can use those pics for things like a basic avatars in a game.
26) flash player updates, videos are part of the "multimedia package"

thats all i can think of. with still making it cost effective cause most of it is just software related

If they do come out with another PSP, they should add flash memory to it since they go up to 64GB now.

How about a whole new PSP aka "PSP2?" Add partial touch screen functionality, Bluetooth, b/g/n support. a second analog stick, better flash support for youtube and such. since being a "psp2" smaller fabrication process down to say 55 or 45nm on all parts with an upgraded graphics chip similar to PS3 but at a slower clock speed and maybe 128mb ram instead of 256. possibly microSD or another flash storage device instead of the MS Pro Duo. And possibly incorporate that into the game format or else somehow make mini Bluray discs for the UMD cartridge. built in microphone would be nice for use of skype, and a better typing format, possibly even a full soft-touch qwerty keyboard sliding mechanism. and accessories that can be plugged in via usb or firewire to add support for larger more comfortable grip and added button or trackball functionality or larger keyboard much like the online friendly addon with the 360 controller if the slide-out keyboard cannot be added in. higher quality audio and maybe 720P HD playback and gameplay on an OLED LCD featured in Sony's small slim OLED LCDs. GPS, WiMax, Bluetooth 2.0, possibly infrared support to use it as a Universal Remote even, wouldnt that be nice, control your PS3 with remote play, and all your other multimedia periphials with your psp2? nothing can be perfect though, and this might run up a pretty steep price tag for a portable gaming device.

None of the images on this page can be trusted for the following reasons:

1 - the majority of "sony products" being shipped out of china and hong kong are fakes. Much like the "Ninfendo" GBA cartridges of a few years ago.

2 - With twenty minutes of painting and a gloss session, I can make my PSP-Slim look like, quite literally, an unreleased model of the PSP. And the pictures I'd have of it would be FAR superior to these ****** blur-photos.

3 - This is probably the biggest marker for spotting fake pages. The actual product number for the PSP series is PSP-#001 and NOT PSP-#000 as stated here and at other "official" pages.

Learn to take high-quality photos, make high-quality fakes, or please stop spreading false and/or unconfirmed rumours.

Ok i might be answering alot of questions here. i will start with the real facts..... Ok yes indeed the psp 3000 is completly real and will be released oct, 08. The new features include a mic built in elimanating the use of headsets. the graphics are 2x better then the psp 2000. and the new screen is antiflective, wich means there is almost no reflections on the screen during gameplay. and it also makes it possible to play in outdoors and in strongly lit areas. What's not happening....
Ther will not be a second analog stick and heres why.... If they added a second one they would have to make games just for the psp 3000 because of the second analog stick the older games will not be bought by the 3000 users and the production of older games would stop and be focused on 3000 games makeing the 2000 and 1000 useless forcing people to upgrade. and not everyone wants to upgrade. Now the second anolog stick could be possible in the psp 2 if ever made. People saying its gohna have a touchscreen are insane!!!!!! The touch screen would be pointless because u already have buttons. and for people wanting the psp to be like an iphone geuse what thats what iphones r for to be like a iphone!!!! And sadly the power switch was no moved ive experainced some faults with this because i turn the psp off in the middle of gameplay they defintly need to fix this. For those people expecting it to be more then this better wait for the psp 2. But im pre-ordering my 3000 now!
