Comments on: Laptop bags could shorten airport wait

Owners of the ScanFast bags don't have to dig their computers out of their cases. Airport screeners can X-ray the machine while it's still inside.

As much as I would love to believe this would be the answer for shorter waits through airport security, I am almost certain it won't work - mainly because the people at security could care less what your bag can do. All they care about is following protocol, which means laptops out so you can finally start taking off your shoes. I'd like to see the first person to try to explain to security that it is not necessary for him/her to take their laptop out... that its alright to scan the computer while still in the bag. "Please sir, can you step over here for a security search."
