Apple Touch WEB applications may be available on the Itunes Store but you can not get them on to your device until 7/11/08. According to Apple this is because your Touch will need V 2.00. That wont be released until tomorrow.

No but seriously, would anyone ever consider paying any money at all for those "apps". I certainly would not want them for free, let alone paying for that nonsense.

So wrong about Birth Buddy, Josh! I used a similar app on my Palm for my first two births, and will definitely use this app on my iPhone when #3 comes along in a few months. The stopwatch with lap option could sort of work, but trust me when I tell you a woman in labor needs things to be simpler than that once the contractions start.! However, I certainly see it probably won't have broad appeal. :)

My colleague Stephen Shankland says his watch worked just fine for such a task with his own children. Out of curiosity how much did you pay for your Palm one?

I just want to see those Lost number flippers going and have the phone start shaking when the numbers haven't been entered! Then the whole screen goes violet...

It's like all the 3rd party developers for the Newton have ported their programs to the iPhone! What's next: A replica Star Trek interface for the iPhone that just makes beeping noises when you press the buttons?

I guess if you've dropped that much money on a phone that looks cool, I guess you could spend a bit more and get some useless programs for it.

I'm totally bummed about the Salesforce app that is "Free". To use the salesforce app you have to pay salesforce $50 to add a "mobile user" account to your existing (expensive) salesforce account. Here is the catch, you can use safari just fine on Salesforce. What the???
