i think everyone is forgetting the main points, almost every update is pointless and minimal
sony doesn't listen to any of the owners of their machines, what is the point of having faster and more sophisticated hardware than 360 if no one knows how to utilize 100% of it yet?

and for the psp

why doesn't sony release the add on peripherals for it; i don't get it...
you guys know what im talkin about, the camera, gps unit and software for it

its been released in every other country except the united states...
hmmm... i wonder why? you would think sony would of released them shortly after launch?

and the countless firmware updates, really...they do nothing good for the gamer...there all security updates...in a everlasting fight to quash home brew developers..

i dont understand why sony would make devices so powerful, but at the same time restricted
the age of gameboy is over, almost everyone carries some sort of computer in there pocket these days...

I'm sure I'd be anticipating the latest ps3 firmware release and the 2.4 upgrade - if I could find a ps3 to buy! I've been looking for the ps3 (80) everywhere but, unless you're willing to pay $600 or better, they just can't be had. Any idea when they may be back on the shelves?

The biggest thing I want is XMB available during games on the psp. It would be so nice to listen to music while playing games, just like on the xbox 360.

Aside from that, I think they should ship the PSP's hardware with more internal flash mamory. Sansa's media players have never had the most storage space but the card slot always left you with a favorable amount. If the PSP had 8 GB of memory before you even put in a MS Duo it would be more respected as a media player.

I would like Ps3's firmware future updates to address power saving features like auto/preset minutes to turn off ps3 controller power after certain minutes while playing a movie or when controller activity is absent for a while to conserve battery power. Also the Ps3 should have a sleep timer to turn itself off. I think everything should be more green friendly, why not start with the PS3?

I really doubt that the PS3's "trophy" system will become as popular as the 360's achievement points. Achievement points have been there since the launch of the console. If you look at achievements of release titles and games shortly released after launch, all the achievements were pretty damn easy in my opinion. After a while I think developers saw that achievements were a crucial selling aspect in the game, as they expand the playability. Achievements got more involved in the game and many became creative.

Anyway, I've ranted enough. Basically the "trophy" system not being included in the launch of the PS3, compared to the 360 with achievements, will give the PS3 a disadvantage and the 2.36 update will do very little to so call "ruin" the 360, as some of you have ignorantly noted.

As ZCapitan said, you get what you pay for and Xbox Live is just better than the PS3's online network.

enough said.

thanks.

Give PS3 users the option of outputting audio in bitstream format!
