Comments on: Two 'Metal Gear Solid 4' PS3 bundles are arriving in June--but only one's a good deal

Konami's hotly anticipated PlayStation 3 exclusive, Metal Gear Solid 4, will be bundled with two new versions of the PS3 hardware. One is strictly for collectors, while the other may be the best PS3 value yet.

Great article, but one point - yesterday's NPD numbers suggest that GTA IV did almost nothing to boost HD console sales. While Sony was up year-to-year, both MS and Sony saw significant deciines from March which, in the face of this generation's most anticipated title, is dismal.

Uh excuse me but one you're wrong and two this is a "exclusive" title that many gamers have parted with hard earned cash for new hardware and the game in the past. If I knew you I'd love to be around when you have to eat your words

Finally! The new PS3 is here along with the rumble controller!!
I've been waiting from the start to the get the new 80GB PS3 with backward compatible PS2 games and the Dualshock 3 controller. I will definitely be saving money up for this console! Also, it looks like the PS3 is back on the map, as far as exclusivity goes, that is.
I can't wait!

I would love to see GTA4 bundle - even though I already have both PS3 and GTA4...

Great info! I have been waiting for an 80GB and was disappointed when I seen the specs on Konami's site. I was very happy to read your article about the $500 bundle. I do think this is a great deal and will purchase it. I think the only thing better would be if Sony worked their magic and minimized the footprint of the console.

The package and game are confimed for June 12th. GameStop, Gamers, and Walmart all have it on their incoming rosters as of today (6/2/08). Walmart has the best deal, as you get a $100 gift card til 6/30/08 if you buy a PS3 bundle. But get there by midnight to insure you get one. These bundles will sell out in 2 days and you'll have to wait a month like always.

Online stores are usually the best option. Ie. Newegg and Amazon.
