Comments on: Samsung tarts up LCD monitors

They're not OLED-thin, but they did get a makeover.

Is there a reason why "tart" and "pimp" have to be used to describe the gussying up of electronics by CRAVE?

Must you and your editors consistently bludgeon your readers with gender objectifying and often misogynistic terms? You all do such great work and I rely on your reviews but I find your lack of judgment sensitivity appalling.

Are you for real, or is this facetiousness raised to a high art? If the latter, bravo, the verisimilitude is stunning. If the former, chill yerself out and take a Valium or something. You're getting awfully hysterical over nothing.

Are you serious! You found that offensive?! How do you survive? You must get offended every time you step out the house! Bet if you went to church and the preacher said hell, you'd flip out!

Uh, I am not a dingy broad - another terrifc turn of phrase. I happen to be a father who laments the fact that women's sexuality is used to cdescribe and comodify just about everything. We certainly don't use "male" terms for these descriptions - why - because they're really aren't any. If you think "tart" and "pimp" are so complimentary why don't you use them around your office or with your family.

I wouldn't call my daughter or my wife a "tart" and I certainly would hope that a "pimp" would never enter their lives. All of you who think I'm so "sensitive" should take a walk over to a women's shelter and see first hand how language is often the first step in a dehumnizing process that can lead to assault and battery.
