With there superior surface the Blu-Ray discs seem to be quite a bit tougher and I've never received one that even looked slightly scratched.
Taking that into account I would of thought the extra $10 on the price of a disc would pay for itself very quickly in replacement disc cost and shipping costs.

- Update to this old story: Netflix is officially charging a dollar more a month for Blu Ray. When will the people behind Blu Ray realize that they will never have much penetration until they make Blu Ray more affordable? $30-$35 for a new movie is whack and Blu Ray is not 3x better than an upscaled DVD.
