Rsiller, the blame for that one lies with Macromedia. See here:

http://www.macromedia.com/software/flash/about/

As you can see, the browsers that can actually support Flash 8+ are limited. Heck, until recently even Linux wasn't even on the list of those supporting Flash 8+. Any others are limited to Flash 7, which includes the PlayStation 3, the Wii, and many other miscellaneous devices.

This is partially why YouTube continues to only require Flash 7, making it one of a few sites that'll still work on your PS3. ;)

I have a PS3 80GB and Xbox 360 Elite (120GB). I never game on the PS3 and use it only for movies. It does that quite well, and will do it better for me after this patch is applied. I'm sure it is a decent gaming platform, but the Xbox games are great and Xbox Live is also great, so I don't see a need to even check it out.

I think anyone who claims the Xbox 360 is a movie machine is out of their mind. I have tried it four different ways and have been unsatisfied each time:

1) HD-DVD (no further explanation required)
2) Standard DVD (optical drive WAY TOO LOUD!)
3) Served from my PC hard drive via Media Center Extender (360 internal cooling fans are WAY TOO LOUD!)
4) HD movie downloaded to hard drive:
* 360 internal cooling fans are WAY TOO LOUD
* HD movie was 5GB-6GB in size, 720P. A TOTAL JOKE
* The licensing aspect is...well, no solid opinion on it, and it doesn't matter anyway, because I will never watch another movie via my 360

If you honestly think the 360 is a serious device for watching movies, then I feel sorry for you.

If Sony was to charge every single person who wants online play like Microsoft---then i bet the Sony online experience would be much much better then xbl. I don?t get it.. its like your getting online play for FREE and you have idiots still complaining. I just don?t get it... If you like xbl so much and love paying 50 bucks to play online and half the year goes to waste on a system which breaks down.. then so be it... but dont come ranting on how crappy PS is. its stupid.

minaeione,
I can complain about the PlayStationNetwork as I own a PS3. Heck, Sony promotes this service as free to begin with so understand we are at the mercy of what they feel like doing with their product. I'd rather pay $50/year and have the best experience then what we currently have, which is far from it.

I own all the new gaming systems and Have no problems with them except I wish there were more games to play. And all the Fanboys out there need to take a chill pill, and get gaming!!

Nice. I love the PS3, I know that iPod Users may complain, but I love how it functions with my PSP. I love the XMB (Hey, I'm used to it. Had a PSP longer than PS3). PSN has a great friend list, and I love Playstation Store.

I'm a fan of Blu-Ray, and love the quality. Unlike the Xbox, movie downloads from PSN would take to much space, as they'd need to be Blu-Ray quality.

As we all know, Xbox is a stripped down version of Windows that runs .xbe instead of .exe. Of course it would recognize files in an iPhone. PS3, however, works great with standard products. Everything I've had works in PS3 and it works in Linux. I'm satisfied.
