Sony has announced it will release two new standalone Blu-ray players, the BDP-S350 and the BDP-S550, which offer some compelling features such as Blu-ray Profile 2.0 compliance and DTS-HD Master Audio support.

griz_fan has testicles in his mouth. Blu Ray still has competition ahead. Apple is already working on its HD movie rentals with Apple TV. Microsoft also has their own HD movie download technology with the Xbox 360. So you think streaming HD won't be a contest to Blu Ray? I remember this little trend happening in 1998 when people starting downloading files called MP3s. And we all know what happened with that.

Does anyone know how much Sony makes off licensing fees for each Blu-Ray disc? I?ve been looking everywhere for this info, but <a href=? http://www.businesspundit.com/sony-format-wars/?>can?t find it.

Iam pulling my hair out at the moment as weather to purchase a ps3 or a sony 350 blue ray player.
If i decide to go ps3 i need to sell my xbox with 10 games and start all over again with buying games, for the ps3
or keep the xbox and purchase a sony 350 bd player????????
What do i do.....all i want is a good bd player HELP
