Specialty HP ink = super expensive ink
by Dustout February 4, 2008 3:41 PM PST
I got a HP inkjet printer and how much they charge for ink is criminal, but at least for mine i could look around for different types. If this printer uses a specialty HP ink then you'll be spending alot more than you want

Laser printers use TONER (plastic dust) so why would the author call this "ink"??
HP charges a fortune for toner (and for inks for their inkjet printers)so this announcement is to be studied with more facts.....

HP Inks and Toners
by Allsystems March 2, 2008 5:55 PM PST
From an objective point of view, HP uses extremely advanced technology in its ink and toners and consumers should get unbiased opinions regarding pricing. I always find that with printing, you get what you pay for. If superior quality, higher yields and less repair issues are part of using the genuine article, then it's well worth it. No point in getting replacement lower grade ink and toner in order to save a few dollars if in the end I will get inferior results and risking damaging my printers. I find reliability and quality are worth paying for. For my hard earned $$$, nobody does it better than HP.

We purchased the HP LaserJet P1005 printer a week ago to test our
remanufactured HP toner
cartridges. It is the smallest HP laser printer I have ever seen! Very cool.
