Right, not AT&T.

I have been with Cingular/AT&T customer. I need to make at least three calls to solve one issue. Also different answer each time I call. been thinking switching to T-Mobile or Sprint.

T-Mobile's #1 for a reason

Their customer service is outstanding. The company will unlock phones for
you with no problem whatsoever, I've done it a bunch of times. Also, they're
employees are great in that they don't bog you down in company flak. For
example: I have been a T-Mobile customer for a while and was interested in
renewing my contract in order to get another phone. However, I wanted to
get it for a cheaper price, less than what T-Mobile was selling it for with a
contract. The employee on the other line hinted that I should just tell
accounting I was switching over to another carrier. Lo and behold, I was able
to buy a $250 for $100 with renewal of my contract, and they didn't even
hesitate to give it to me at that price. T-Mobile knows what to do to make
their customers happy.

t-mobile is great
by trhoads82 February 4, 2008 11:57 AM PST
I have been with t-mobile since 2003 when I first got a cell phone. I have gone through a few phones, multiple states and cell plans.

I have to say I have had some major cell issues, from bad hardware to just dumb stuff and t-mobile has helped me through it with out a hitch every time.

I was on the phone one day for 2 hrs trying to figure out why photo text messaging wouldn't work. We did everything we could. The next step was go to a store and have them do a few things there. Rather then telling me to go to store the rep called a local store of my choice, got the manger and told them the whole story. I was able to walk into the store that afternoon, have the manager greet me by name and get my phone fixed.

this has been the case time and time again with t-mobile always going above and beyond to help me out with issues.

I will grant the phone service doesnt' work everywhere. But to tell you the truth i drive the US often and have bene in dozen of states and I have only been in a handful of places where my phone has worked and most of the time I was ok with that because the locations were so remote.

Great customer service....but..
by gsr1718 February 4, 2008 12:05 PM PST
I've been with T-mobile for almost two years, and I have to admit that when it comes to customer service they are 100% great.

But, Their service just sucks. I'm constantly getting calls dropped and sometimes at night it just completely loses service.

I've been thinking moving with ATT, but I'm definitely going to wait until my contract is over to see if their is any improvement

I disagree, They suck
by archere3 February 4, 2008 12:52 PM PST
I have Tmobile for past 5 years. I always pay on time and one time, while paying online, by accident I entered a wrong credit card number (misplaced two digits). I entered all my info first name, last name, exp date etc and guess what it accepted the wrong CC No with out any errors. But I promptly called the customer service and told them what happened and they didn't care. After a month or so one day my connection got disconnected. i called customer service and they said, that my payment was rejected by the credit card company (the wrong one) and so they cancelled my service. I explained the whole story, and they simply said to have my connection back I have to pay a $20 fine and another $30 for reactivation fee. Can you believe that crap

Mostly great CS
by make_or_break February 4, 2008 12:58 PM PST
Best I've customer service experienced from any carrier since the old, original Cellular One days, although T-Mo still has been unable to activate paperless billing for me in almost a year of requests. As for the rest of T-Mobile: their voice service and coverage can be spotty outside the urban areas around my home turf (PacNW), though I've had little in the way of connectivity problems when traveling (so far). And their EDGE system has been prone to going down (or at least going wonky) at inopportune times. And still no world on WHEN 3G will arrive.

As good as the CS has been, I'm not sure it's enough to keep me around. C'mon T-Mo...the contract obligation is running out and the clock is definitely ticking.

Tmobile support is actually very good!
by alessandroacq February 4, 2008 1:56 PM PST
All though Tmobile doesn't have the greatest service in the NY Boroughs...the customer support is actually a lot better than the rest of it's competition. It beats At&t by a landslide and Sprint/Nextel doesn't even compare. Though I haven't been a Verizon subscriber I hear Verizon is pretty good as well.

T-Mobile is Good in the Midwest
by JoeGayle February 4, 2008 5:58 PM PST
Most of my friends and my family use T-Mobile, and it is clear why: it's affordable, they have good customer service, if we had a problem. We had no problems. The only problem that I notice is the lack of getting new phones avaliable, (Moto Q, Blackjack, etc.) and the ultimate ... 3G!! Why must we wait for 3G? We want 3G. If they get out 3G soon, I'll be a T-Mobile customer for a while longer.

A Very Satisfied Customer

I can only say that I think that T-Mobile is terrific. I live in Boston, MA and the service here is excellent. I do get a dropped call now and then, but I found that to be the case on every carrier (I have tried many). Above all, the service at T-Mobile takes the cake. The reps I talk to are consistently English speakers in North America and that makes a big difference. They always seem to be able to resolve whatever issue I have or to give me a time when it will be resolved. Admittedly, they have no 3G service at this time, but as I do not download songs or videos or watch TV on my phone, I don't care. I use a BlackBerry and get my emails, including attachments, right on time. What good is a phone that gets a TV picture if you cannot make a call from indoors(at&t)? Certainly, if you prefer GSM, T-Mobile is miles ahead of at&t, even without 3G. Granted, the phones T-M sells in the US are often kind of cheap, but it is easy to configure an unlocked phone on their network (can you say that about at&t?) either by yourself from the website or with the help of the award-winning customer service. They just are so easy to deal with. I am a fan and a very satisfied customer.
