This is yet another valient attempt by the rest of the world to keep us tablet PC users in the minority in spite of the readiness of the world for tablets. Bill Gates and Gene Roddenberry have been on our sides, but the rest of the world has been everywhere from indifferent to outright defiant.

Tablet PCs, baby. Accept no bulky work-arounds.

Four Words: Yes it's for Tablets

Because the Connect-A-Desk is such a new concept and admittedly does look a little different many people's first reaction is negative as with many new things. I would like to point out that the straps do not go around your neck. They go over your shoulders and across your back. Supporting today's lightweight laptops (2 to 6 pounds) is not uncomfortable when spread across the shoulders and back. This design gives the user the ability to have their hands free for other tasks without setting their laptop down and then they can also use two hands to type. Workers who have a need to enter data in the field really love the Connect-A-Desk. It also works very well for tablet pc users. The problem with the tablet pc is that you always have one hand supporting the tablet while using the other hand to operate the pc. With the Connect-A-Desk, the tablet lies on the platform in front of you and you have both hands free to draw with the tablet or do other things without the need to find a place to lie down your tablet. You've really just got to try the Connect-A-Desk to really appreciate it. The best thing is that it is also very affordable.

I guess I could see people using this in some very specialized cases where you need to have your laptop for data entry, I just don't see it go mainstream. You need to jack up the proce to make it worth while...
