First off the author is poking fun at a football team, not your first born. Secondly, the Pat's and Belichick weren't handed one of the biggest fines in NFL history because they played by all the rules.

Your team is doing well - enjoy it - don't berate the author for using a little timely humor in their article. Have a little more class.

But I do have to agree, that comparison was ridiculous. I'm not a patriots fan, I personally like the colts, but to take a cheap shot at a football team when reviewing a webcam is completly unprofessional. Even if you had excluded the "but without cheating" part, why would you ever compare a webcam to a football team? It's not funny, it just doesn't make sense. I didn't even read the review, the poor comparison is extremly discouraging.
