MagicJack prevents its users from dialing into conference calls that are not hosted by MagicJack. I had been using MagicJack for about four months when I tried to dial into a 75 caller conference call at home. After dialing the number, all I would get is a MagickJack recording telling me that I could not dial this number from my MagicJack phone, the voice told me that I could however host my own MagicJack teleconference if I would call a different number. MagicJack blocks other teleconference providers numbers because they want to host the teleconferences themselves. I understand their desire for increased marketshare, however they should disclose this information to consumers instead of implying that callers can use MagicJack just like they can use a land line or a cell phone. MagicJack users will not be able to dial into the majority of teleconferces that have been invited to.
The con is you have to have you pc/laptop on but it will receive v-mails and send it to you e-mail. So, if your at work you can check v-mails.

- Before you buy, check out their current available area codes at <http://www.magicjack.com/9/areacodes.asp>. I purchased MagicJack and there has not been a single area code available in my whole state for 3 straight months! They now give you the option to change your number once, but I'm not going to sign up for an out of state area code.
