Unreal did NOT introduce anything new at all to the world of deathmatch (or CTF for that matter) that hadn't already been a part of id's products and mods for years. For this reason I find it entirely inaccurate to describe it in the way you do as it having 'introduced an entire generation to the joys of deathmatch' when in fact that entire generation that you speak of already had a well developed set of deathmatch skills as a result of playing years of Doom and Quake.

- I have to agree with the above post by Admin44. The things that UT did introduce were phenomenal graphics and amazing sound - "KILLING SPREE!"
