I've noticed with some hubs, it won't charge if you don't have the hub itself plugged into a computer (even using an AC adapter). Any work around on that?

i know this is useful, but it will take longer hours to fully charged many gadgets in a single powered USB adapter.
the Apple USB Charger comes in iPhone EDGE is running at 1 Ampere (A) and the Belkin dual USB has a running of 500mA per USB device.
