LX&SLIDE same features?
by jesiiiiica September 25, 2007 10:52 PM PDT
from reading this, i gathered that the sidekick slide & sidekick LX have the same features, aside from that the LX has a swivel screen still and it is slightly larger an dmay be better quality.
am i right? is there really a point to wasting an extra $100 on the LX if you have the patience to wait for the slide?

help?

the sidekicks, they are great, I had a sidekick 2, a little bulky and I had some issues but a great buy, the only problem is I dropped it in the shower(which is my stupidity) and it imploded now how that happens I have not a clue but Im looking to get a new phone, I loved the sidekick 3, the ID wasn't great, But the sidekick 3 felt fake and crappy. I wouldn't pay so much money for a newly designed same thing as last time but smaller sidekick LX phone for 299$ thats insane, I would however buy the slide $199, it has so much more oppertunities, I don't like the buttons (real pix showed at http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/first-pic/sidekick-slide-pic-surfaces-276919.php ) and it looks tons better then anything ive seen,it looks like a keeper!!

...by Fido. The original names were hiptop, but I guess they stopped selling them because of lack of sales.

LX = good. Slide = bad.

The LX looks nicer than the current Sidekick 3 that is out. It seems to be more sleek and professional looking. I would buy the LX.

The Slide just looks cheap. I guess it is going to take seeing it in person to really decide but it just unappealing. I would not buy the Slide unless for some reason, the picture does not do it justice.

I'm a current T-Mobile customer and Sidekick 3 owner and have been for almost two months. I'm not going to lie, if I was able to trade in my 3 for the LX in Espresso Brown, I probably would. We'll just have to see.

SLIDE IT IN BABY

The LX is just the SK3 with a bigger screen... LAME! The slide is a different take, made by motorola, small, and black. The LX has quite possibly the worst color scheme ever with brown or a really unattractive blue. Not to mention its insanely over priced and lacks about everything the new Curve can do. I would get a Curve over both of these phones, but all I really care about is messaging easily and the sidekick does that the best no matter which model you have.

I want the SLIDE
by babygurljenay December 27, 2007 6:13 PM PST
ok well im a teenager, i text more than i talk on the phone. I've had 3 phones so far and now im settling on getting a SLIDE (yes this will be my first sidekick). when the LX first came out I REALLY wanted it but now that i have compared the SLIDE to the LX, the slide is so much better. The only DISadvantages the SLIDE has is that the talk time and the standbye time is less than the LX. Now i've heard that the LX has a microSD slot, im not so sure if the SLIDE has that, but i'll find out when i get mine in a few dayz. The SLIDE looks so much better to me then the LX, because it unique and the color is so pretty. The LX's midnight blue is an attractive color too, but not too sure about the brown...I've heard some other disadvantages about the slide is the QWERTY keyboard, the keys are too small and slippery. But to me the LX is just another sidekick 3, just in a different color, and a lil thinner...
