Rear screen...
by texasags August 22, 2007 10:54 PM PDT
The rear screen has 920,000 pixels!!! I wonder how much better it will look than the 40D (230,000) or will there really be a big difference?

ISO 6400 is huge, if it is clean...

The D300 is not the new FX sensor. It is the DX sensor with the 1.5 crop.
D300 is DX not FX

Nikon's hot D300 is a DX format, NOT the FX format. The D3 has the FX (full frame) format. But 12 MP, 6 FPS, 6,400 ISO, 3" 920,000 dot LCD screen, and Live-View all for $1,800, wow! Powerhouse? You bet!!

I can't set these cameras down. In fact, I am selling my D200 and D2X bodies to help pay off the new gear. I also got the D3 online from http://www.CentralCamera.com

I'm still not a big fan on the live view yet, but I haven't given up and there is a huge difference in low noise with the D3 and D300. You can safely shoot at 800iso with the D300 and 1600iso with the D3. Perfect for my wedding photography.

For my new D300, is there any way to download/copy files from the camera direct to a USB flash drive? I'm using 4GB Extreme IV CF's. I've seen a few battery powered photo viewers advertised, but I don't need all the other features they have.
