More bulky looking version of the Giant Lite?
by Dreldragon August 22, 2007 11:38 AM PDT
I purchased a used Giant Lite for my Dad to get around on, and this (now discontinued) product has all of the features mentioned above. The electric power works in a "pedal-assist" type mode, it has both standard and economy power modes, it has a similar range and slightly slower top speed, and has a locking NiMH battery that easily lifts out for re-charging. Dutch designed, with a Japanese (Panasonic) motor. Really an excellent e-bike.

It's somewhat disappointing that there hasn't been much in the way of improvement in e-bike capabilities and design since Giant introduced these bikes in 2000.
