As for why no US carrier will pick it up ... maybe it's only a watch with a camera and a MP3 player. The description of it makes NO REFERENCE WHATSOEVER to it being a phone, or what band it might operate on (you can bet it's not CDMA).

- Since the release of the watch in the article there are many different colors out now. It also seems to be available world-wide. I got a nice silvery one - smart-looking from www.mp3plusmore.com
