CableCard adapters in a different PC?
by bob.mcelroy July 23, 2007 3:41 PM PDT
I know the cable card adapters are not going to be readily available to the DIY crowd, but I would be curious if you could get one of these CableCard adapters to function in a different Vista PC (either Home Premium or Ultimate). I'm sure I'm not the only one curious about this. Thanks.

Still waiting on Tivo . . .
by dizzygill July 24, 2007 4:55 PM PDT
. . . to design a system that is cable card compatible or a USB based cable card to plug in the back so I don't have to use the verdamt IR blaster kludge widget for more advanced cable programming. I currently only subscribe to analog cable so I can stay in happy Tivo land and not use some dork set top box. And no, I will not use a non Tivo DVR provided by the cable company because they all totally suck compared to Tivo.
