I happen to think that VISTA is the ultimate crapware, shovelware and bloatware.

But that is just my humble opinion.

Dell is the best computer for the money! Period.

The best way to buy a new computer is not to let Joe Blow build you one. Instead, simple go to www.DellOutlet.com. Dell outlet sells refurbished Dell computers for much less than a new Dell would cost. The best part is that Dell offers the same warranty on their refurbished computers as they do on a brand new expensive Dell from Dell.com. Now, find the one you want from Dell Outlet and then go ask Mr. Joe Blow me if he can beat the price comparing apples to apples. Impossible! Dell sells more computers than anybody in the world....For a Reason.

Did you even read the article? Dell is one of the worst offenders when it comes
to "shovelware". Aside from that, Dells aren't good for any price. Why would I
buy a worthless Dell, let alone a refurbished one? Seriously, put down the crack
pipe.
Annoying Shovelware

We couldn't understand why we were having such difficulty installing software that we wanted on our new laptop. Turns out the problem was being caused by unwanted shovelware. Once we got the shovelware off the computer we were able to get our software installed.

Crap on My New Computer
by rlking1 July 18, 2007 8:20 PM PDT
Geez guys, I'm really not into IM, Texting, blogging and so on - my business takes up way too much of every day. I purchased a new HP to get faster processing speeds for multiple applications over 3 months ago. Why am I not using it?? For one thing, trying to remove all of the crap you're talking about without hosing anything up. Second reason - that ##)*L:#!!@ security that won't let me use anything without clicking an approval. I've been a computer guy for almost 40 years, and I DON'T need my computer babysitting my content. Last, and definitely not least, I can't get Vista to run any of my normal business software!! (Publisher, Photoshop, etc.) And I can't even send the blessed thing back, since I've gone over the warranty period. Aaarrrggghhh....pulling my hair out!! Can anyone help? (By the way, there is no apparent increase in processor power.)
