Comments on: E3 2007: Sony's big ol' press conference

If there's one thing that seems very familiar about this year's E3 video game show, it's the lavishly produced but oddly stilted press conferences from the big three game console makers.

No NAND? No upgrade.

No flash RAM? This provides absolutely no impetus for those of us with older
PSPs to upgrade. I realize they want to sell Memory Sticks, but they'll sell those
along with more PSPs once they add some flash RAM to the device!

Pointless to upgrade

That's all the improvements they did to the PSP? Feh! Yea, it's nice that they had put Video output, but they sell adapters like that in stores already.

They better price it low if they want to sell them. Me, I'm not upgrading.

Sony doesn't Understand the potential of the PSP
by zgreenwell July 12, 2007 11:45 AM PDT
With an integrated web browser and abilty to play back music and movies. Sony had essentially made the worlds most functional ipod less the memory needed to make it useful. I would have thought that integrating a hard drive was the next obvious step and shortening it down so it would fit in your pocket would be right after that. I do still like my PSP but this slim psp is the biggest let down sony could have ever come up with. Its just plain stupid.
