For what it's worth, a Clix user forum has an Iriver America employee who says the 8GB will be released in Korea on July 11 (tomorrow) and on Aug. 11 here in the U.S.Also, I hope the UMS option is still offered on the "Rhapsodized" Clix. I have no use for subscription music.

I wrote Rhapsody and iRiver to find out who was going to update the firmware. Here's what i got from iRiver:

---I appreciate you contacting the iriver America Customer Support Team. Unfortunately, there are no announcements regarding this matter. Please visit the website at http://www.iriveramerica.com for any future updates.---

And here is the response from Rhapsody:

---I understand that you need verification on the usage of the Clix 2 device with Rhapsody.

I regret to inform you that we are not officially supporting iRiver Clix 2 device with Rhapsody and for updating the firmware of the device, I recommend you to contact the device manufacture.---

I sent both iRiver and Rhapsody a link to this article. So... now i'm a little confused.
