Two days before the iPhone hits store shelves, and there's still no line at the AT&T store in New York City's Times Square.

Web sites launch all the time, but they also shut their doors. We highlight 15 that bit the dust this year.
Let the debate begin: Was the iPhone more important than iTunes? Was anything bigger than Google finding a great business model? CNET offers its list of the 10 most important stories of the '00s.
waiting for a "freakin'" phone. Afterall, it's just a piece of
hardware, albeit a potentially cool one.
As for myself, I'm going to wait for the second generation i
Phone so that they have time to work out the bugs, increase the
basic functions of the phone (ie. add a camera, among others)

hungry. For what the iPhone is now, it is a very good package

wife.... but high end customers are NOT waiting on line in the
numbers that kids will wait to get a video game, let's say.
So Wall Street will probably freak when they don't see the lines
that everyone is expecting... but have no fear.. the phones will
move off the shelves.... perhaps not blazingly fast... but fast
enough to make the supporters very happy.
As it continues to evolve (via software updates and applications)
the iPhone will begin to dominate the market.... the number of
kids owning these phones will be staggering.... think of the fact
that young people text each other all day long... the texting on
the iPhone is way impressive.... iChat will be incorporated for
sure... the sky is the limit.... but the lines will not reflect the
future success.
Come on c|net, this is NOT news. Do your job.
From Apple.com
"iPhone features a 2-megapixel camera and a photo
management application that goes far beyond anything on a
phone today. Sync photos from your PC or Mac, and you?re ready
to browse or email them with the flick of a finger."
But I do agree with the choice not to buy right away.

- Don't forget the people waiting in line for the iPhone are not there just because they HAVE TO HAVE ONE, but because of their love for all things Apple. You can't exactly show that love by standing outside AT&T.
