uptown one (meaning it will be a true endurance test for those who queue up
well in advance. I walked by a couple of hours ago and there was no sign of a
line or barricades... all was quiet on the downtown front. I'm thinking most will
wait till the 90 degree heat and thunderstorms roll out of town.

What the hell is wrong with people? When did becoming the "first dumb-ass" take precedent over being the first to... find a cure for a disease, or first to help those less fortunate.
What the hell is up with getting excited over getting excited over a piece of junk that you'll forget about as soon as the next flavor-of-the-month shiny bauble comes along?? How vapid are you??
...and speaking of... I don't hear much backlash or much moaning over the fact that this wannabe Star Trek prop (that you will have the "privilege" of spending an extra $65 or more when the battery eventually fails) costs more than the (OMG it's soo expensive) PS3--that will last a decade or more?
Sorry, I work too hard and my time off is too precious to waste time on being the first lemming to 'bend over' and make some rich person richer..
Yes lemmings the cliff's over there, enjoy the trip down, I'll be over here living my life and trying to benefit my fellow man.
Related side note: What's up with CNet speaking derisively about the hype even as they are "working the shovel" right along side Apple and the rest? Does anybody really need a daily countdown? Apple already has enough fanatics and other nutters foaming at the mouth...
