About freakin' time...
by JWilliams06 June 13, 2007 9:37 PM PDT
The entire Inspiron line has been needed to be updated for quite some time. The white border with grey middle has been around since 2004, when the Inspiron 700m was introduced. Their components could always be some of the best in the market, but their notebooks were starting to look pretty dated.

Atleast the current generation Inspiron notebooks are built far better than the previous generation before it: Inspiron 5100,600m, 300m, 8600 (which was one of the few that was built okay.).

Can't wait to see these notebooks gracing our neighborhood Walmart very soon.

If you google Inspiron 1720 there is a link to the Dell website that looks like it goes to a pdf spec sheet. The link doesn't work but says "effective date: 2007/6/26". Does that mean that might be the release date?
