Cadillac Escalade EXT

The Cadillac Escalade EXT is defiantly a gas guzzling beast but it manages to took both tough and expensive at the same time.

lmao, I love the choices...
by ZephyrCurse June 12, 2007 12:01 AM PDT
All of those cars are genuinely ugly, some more than others. All they have to to is add some more Element look-a-likes, the Chevy Avalanche, and of course the H2/H3 Hummer series. For older cars however, nothing is more of a mistake then the 90's Corvettes that poor dumb rednecks think are cool with their square tail lights.

Stick to Technology!
by Jeremy7600 June 12, 2007 4:46 AM PDT
I would say none of those vehicles are "cars" as they are all SUV's and trucks (Except the Kia) The Element IS ugly, I'll give you that, but the RDX? The HHR? The Escalade? You guys really do need to stick to technology and not giving opinions on vehicles you have no place giving your opinion on. One caveat, you guys should like the RDX since its geared for techno-philes, as the commercials indicate.

The HHR is a hot seller for GM..

Go back to laptops and "Stoner Pyro Rave DJ gear!"

This is why CNET ought to stick to...
by rjr1967 June 12, 2007 6:09 AM PDT
...subjects that they barely know like technology, as opposed to subjects that they know nothing about like automobiles...morons. C'mon clowns, are you seriously telling me that the MDX is not an attractive vehicle? Or that the Acadia is being judged only on the dead-on rear view? Roll down the window on your Prius and throw that crack pipe as far as you can folks, 'cause you're obviously impaired. What a bunch of morons...

Uh...guys....don't start emulating PC Magazine
by fpmacko June 12, 2007 9:16 AM PDT
PC Magazine started sucking a couple of years ago, and one of the reasons for that is they insist on doing shallow, vapid reviews of cars. Don't do the same dumb thing that is causing that magazine to loose readers like an open bathtub drain. Stick to gadgets. (BTW, I agree the Tribeca is ugly, horribly ugly.)

PRIUS DIDN'T MAKE THE LIST??!
by gsmiller88 June 12, 2007 9:39 AM PDT
OKAY...How can any respectable "Ugliest Cars" slideshow NOT include the Prius?!
Yippee! It gets 50 miles to the gallon, that's doesn't make it look any better! It
still looks like it was designed by a blind Japanese prostitute.

There are many more obvious choices than yours
by the_peel June 12, 2007 3:54 PM PDT
Try the Honda Insight, the Subaru Baja, the Ssangyong Rodius, the Pontiac Aztec, among the hordes of other more obvious choices. This article should not be called "The 10 ugliest cars we've seen", it should be called "The 10 cars that I just don't like".

CNET + CARS = W T F?
by quickjerk June 13, 2007 7:15 AM PDT
Ok, I don't mind CNET reviewing cars. It's good to see CNET broadening their technological horizons. However, when they base their verdict on the vehicle's "media features", I get very bothered. Take for example CNET's very very disappointing review on the 2005 Subaru Impreza STI. If the author knew, the STI is a world renowned rally touring car reputed for its incredible handling, capable of beating some porsches 0-60, and they give it a 6.5 ONLY because of "The bad: Minimal soundproofing; stereo lacks MP3 compatibility. ". Are you kidding me? The target market for the STI does not give a flying frack about the car's media capabilities. I wouldn't be surprised if that editor is a decked out in his Pontiac Vibe blasting away at Avril Lavigne.

If you guys take a look at CNET's car reviews, often they base their reviews solely on MP3 capability, GPS features, etc. Sigh. P A T H E T I C

You guys have lost it
by Acetylene June 13, 2007 7:43 AM PDT
Yeah, the HHR is pathetic, and the Subaru is... odd. I'll even agree with the Kia, Honda, and Chrysler. But some of these cars... especially the Audi and Acura, gimme a break. Why dont you leave the car reviewing to someone that understands the concept of "style".
