I would love to have this

This would be great for developers. I already have 2 monitors and would really like to get a third. I'm constantly flipping back and forth between different applications and documents; with a setup like this I could have most of what I need access to right there in front of me without having to ALT+TAB all over the place.

Have you never seen a complicated nerve center for a big data center or a police dispatch department or a Network operations center or how about our space programs control center on TV?

It's not just about geeks at home!

put away the apple fanboy for a second and realize these setups do exist.. maybe not to this extreme, but 2 or even 3 monitors are used at a workstation.. im sitting at a desk right now at my graphics job, with 2 monitors. my home setup has dual 19" lcd's.. and yes, im aware there are dekstop switching tools/apps.. but once you've worked with multiple moniters, trust me, there's no going back ;)
nothing new

a company called DigitalTigers has had these products for years.

They even have a set up with a center 30" surrounded by 4 21" screens

I could get a lot of work done with this.

I could get a lot of work done with this. I find it hard to see everything that's going on. So having this would allow me to monitor several windows at one without making them too small.

Very useful for Wall Street

Every Wall Street trader could use one or two of these.

Those guys typically use anywhere from four to 12 screens.
