Killer App for the iPhone
by Al Feldzamen February 8, 2007 5:26 AM PST
What Apple's forthcoming portable wireless phone urgently needs, in view of
the competition and its obvious drawbacks (high price, limitation to Cingular,
small memory for music/video, lack of voice dialing, etc.), is a true KILLER
APP.

For this, that app could well be DICTATION SOFTWARE (since a microphone is
already present, and a stripped-down OS X) . . . that would let a user dictate
an outgoing Email, or text that could go into a rudimentary word processor
(like TEXTEDIT), and thence to a memory file or, by any one of several means,
to a printer if desired.

Then, trademark issues permitting, the device could be renamed the POCKET
MAC !

The so called "revolutionary phone" that is the iPhone will be dead on arrival even before it ships because the Samsung Ultra F700 will kill it.

Let's see if it gets released in the US first. It most likely won't, just like most cell phones.

Though Apple's iPhone's highfalutin'
Its really just - another Newton
Twice a failure, in retreat
Might iPhone, then, be Jobs' "three-peat"?

Anyone with the wrong service provider?
by xton111177 March 12, 2007 12:29 PM PDT
When iPhone launches a lot of people are going to be switching to Cingular. I have already switched mainly because Verizon did not provide service where we moved. I found a great deal at Wireless MarketPlus. It was easy to sing up and the phones where delivered right to my door. No more waiting in lines to talk to high pressure sales people.
