The original was pretty popular, i'm eager to see what they will cook up. Plus, LG stuff is always pretty.

21:9 screen? That's way too wide. My phone is 18:9 (or 2:1) and it's as wide as I think screens should get.

I don't know anyone who has a chocolate and actually likes it. Common complaints I've heard from friends about them are crappy batteries and the touch keys on the front.

I like my Chocolate 3 a lot. The battery is pretty craptacular (a day of solid texting, talking, and making calls will have it exhausted), but I love the music support (FM transmitter) and it doesn't have the annoying touch controls. I'm sure whatever this new Chocolate has, it's gonna be another great music phone (especially because it's one of the few multitasking phones on Verizon)!

I liked the first few that were sliders, but when they made it an ugly flip-phone, it ruined the whole line!!! I hope they release a new one that is a slider...

That doesn't make any sense?
I don't think they are trying to suggest they know more about products than any american does, they are just giving us information...

How many times has you seen " THREE ASIANS connection" in the testing of products on cnet and making that point. Not only asians are good at high tech understanding so atleast hire and non asian actors to do more then what they have now......Please......... coming from japan as myself , noithing is worse then creating a image of a race of people this this" Nothing is more insulting then have that half afican american/asian ( mind you.......with a asian last stange name ) and still acting like a american getto guy........Please

Thats pretty ridiculous and unnecessary to have that aspect ratio, but who knows? maybe it'll be the next big thing....ha

The LG Chocolate is an MP3 player masquerading as a phone.

whats wrong with that? You say it like an insult, but the chocolate was always supposed to be a music phone anyway

To be politically correct...it should be offered in "dark chocolate" AND "white chocolate".

I will never buy an LG phone again after the first Chocolate I had with Verizon several years ago. White screen problem over and over and over again. Treated the phone like an infant, never dropped it, and between 30 and 60 days like CLOCK WORK the freaking screen would turn white and there was nothing you could do. Over the course of the 18 months I was suffering with that phone I had to get a new one 7 times. That is the original one plus 7 more before I was graced with an upgrade option and finally able to get rid of that pile of crap. Not only that but twice Verizon didn't have the same color as my previous model so I would have a black battery with a blue phone, it was un freaking believable.

I partially fault Verizon for refusing to give me a brand new upgraded Chocolate, for free, when it was originally released. I tried and tried and got loud several times in the store but they wouldn't budge on giving me a newer one but the real blame goes to LG. I don't know how in the world you can make such a crappy device that breaks so often under normal use. Absolutely unbelievable.
