I really want to see the Slingplayer Mobile for the Pre. In my opinion, Slingbox and slingplayer are the best apps available. I almost delayed my purchase of the Pre because I was enjoying slingplayer on my winmo device, but I couldn't wait. Now I really miss my Sling!

Also, I hope Sprint allows Sling content over its EVDO network unlike AT&T, which crippled this capability on the iPhone.

I am more in need of basic features. I would like to see visual voice mail. I had this feature on my Samsung Instinct. I would also like to be able to see phone calls ( incoming/outgoing) listed for the people in my contacts as well as by the date of the call.

iPhone rocks right now 50.000 apps palm has the potential but will take a long time to catch up to the iPhone similar to the G1 which was hyped but only has about 1500 apps after years

Question. How many of those 50,000 apps are useful in your daily life? Can you install all 50,000 on your phone at the same time? Is their an app to wipe your arse? I'm not ragging on the iPhone, just saying that having 50,000 apps in a catalog is akin to shopping at a dollar store. How many are garbage versus useful?

i have been using the palm pre for about two weeks, and I like the phones turn by turn direction provided by sprint. I wish the iphone 3g s had that feature. Google maps just don't cut went your driving and lost. I am planning on keeping my Palm Pre and returning the Iphone 3gs.

it took how long for the iphone to have 50,000 apps ??? how many apps did the original iphone have at release ? better yet how many of those 50,000 apps do u use on your daily life ??? or bettr yet did 17 million iphone isusers just buy the phone becuz its "cool" ??? im tired of apple idiots using that as it being an iconic phone......period.....what good is a phone if your network sucks and cant make or recieve calls half the time ??? thats why sprints network is far superior at an affordable cost

Shazam, and Mint for finance tracking.

And IMO after tens of thousands of apps, an app store reaches a saturation point at which the overwhelming majority of apps are either useless, redundant, or both.

Give me about 100 killer apps and keep the bloat.

I would like to see the ACT/SAT prep app because I plan to get my HS kid a pre and he plans on taking the ACT soon. I also have 2 more jr high kids to follow in a couple of years and I heard that this app is a great one for kids in their prep for the test.
