I third this motion.

Also, as part of my own comment: Twitter hasn't made it's way onto a shirt, at least not with the one in the image. That emoticon has been around on the internet a lot longer than Twitter.

Hear Hear!! I don't know how Twitter became the fad it is right now. It's ridiculous and I've tried to use it and I just don't get the appeal. Yea, I can see it's usefulness in following companies or products, but it's like that status messages on Facebook...alone and blown out of proportion. It's like going on your facebook page with just those people who update their status way too often.

I hope Twitter dies soon...or rather (and more likely) gets assimilated into another product and/or company.

Yes, as agt7648 said, the image on that t-shirt has absolutely NOTHING to do with Twitter. It is simply one of the many popular emoticons, that have all been around far longer than the Twitter service. But is Twitter really has made it onto t-shirts, so what? It's not like it's been inducted into a hall of fame somewhere. I too am really sick of all the Twitter hype. It's a service, just like any other, and its legitimate uses honestly don't amount to much. If I get to the point where I have nothing better to do that spout useless garbage about my personal life onto the internet for everybody to comment on, I will have failed at life. Period.

Hey guys. Was this a flame war against twitter or just a club of Twitter bashers, most of the just envy that they didn't have the smarts to come up with such an interesting idea.

BTW. If you can Tweet with a commodore 64, it wouldn't be hard to create the mug, the milk carton or the locket, since C64 technology implemented in 45nm tech could fit in a dice 1 mm square. Combine that with a WiFi chip plus a simple lithum wristband watch battery and you have postage size twitter feeder. Programming could be done via a smartcard or RFID interface and you're done.

See how simple ideas turn into real advancements. (HTML was a no brainer if you were Tim Berners Lee, e.g.)

I didn't bash it. I just said that I don't have any interest in social networks.

@cosuna: It's fine for Twitter to be out there and have a following. That does not make it newsworthy or is a reason to completely over run the service.

I want more Twitter improvements, better search, built in picture uploading and video. I want companies to get more involved with Twitter, it is important for companies to hear what I and others have to say about their products and services. I want better emergency response services for Twitter. I want better notifications services.

I want more Twitter discussion. This will bring more innovation and a more compelling product. Twitter is getting more popular everyday and with more services coming, we will certainly hear much more about Twitter, and I am ready to listen.

no matter how good the marketing guys are at getting the twitter name everywhere, they still can't make twitter anything more than just useless and annoying. it's only fashionable with the kids because they are easily led, but once they grow up (past 11 years old), even they realize how useless and annoying twitter is.
