Web sites launch all the time, but they also shut their doors. We highlight 15 that bit the dust this year.
Let the debate begin: Was the iPhone more important than iTunes? Was anything bigger than Google finding a great business model? CNET offers its list of the 10 most important stories of the '00s.
Thanks Commadore for the memories. And I applaud Johan for not forgetting where it ALL started.

- Why is it that someone writes an article about Twitter and people keep commenting that Twitter is a waste of time? If Twitter is so damn pointless, then DON'T READ ARTICLES THAT TELL YOU ABOUT USING TWITTER. If you don't like Twitter (or Commodores) and you still read this article, you need to invest in some time-management education. Isn't it obvious that the point of this article was to show a new Twitter client on an old (very old) system and not to debate the future of Twitter?

Showing 2 of 2 pages (46 Comments)That being said, for the rest of us that either have fond memories of BASIC programming on a Commodore 64 and/or those of us that do use Twitter, this is pretty neat. I honestly didn't know you could get Internet access on one of those boxes (of course, I was 7 when I tinkered on my family C128 and that was over 20 years ago... I feel old now).
Fortunately, technology has improved - I think my Blackberry has more computing power than my old C128.
