When announced on CNET a couple years back I bought JVC's HS-FX66 ear buds for about $30 from my local supermarket and absolutely love them. They were cheap so if I loose them it isn't a total loss. They have worked fantastically for a couple years. Clear uppers, full mids, and deep base. Best of all though is the fit. I have never had any ear buds fit so well. They will NEVER fall out no matter how intense or sweaty my workout might be. One tip though - super glue in the appropriately sized ear canal rubber pieces as they can get loose and fall off.

I'm surprised that you have a picture of the SR-60's on this article, yet don't mention them. They are one of the best sounding cans for under 100 bucks, and if you want even better bass, get the SR-80 for about 15 bucks more. I got mine from HeadRoom (www.headphone.com) for a great deal and they sent me a shipping box and a new set of cans to replace a defective unit without requiring me to send the old set back. Grado's are also made here in the United States, providing good jobs to people in the Bronx.

Well, they are *tangentially* mentioned, in that they are on the Best Budget Headphone list. :) They're not precisely an example of any of the tips I gave, but I still feel they are an excellent example of value for the money. Thanks for your feedback on the SR-80!
