For the people who say they don't see how they increased the speed and lowered power consumption..... OLED!!!! OLED doesn't use half the power that an LCD does. Plus that is the major cause of power consumption in the iPhone is the sreen.

Other advantages of OLED

OLEDs are brighter than LEDs. Because the organic layers of an OLED are much thinner than the corresponding inorganic crystal layers of an LED, the conductive and emissive layers of an OLED can be multi-layered. Also, LEDs and LCDs require glass for support, and glass absorbs some light. OLEDs do not require glass.

OLEDs do not require backlighting like LCDs (see How LCDs Work). LCDs work by selectively blocking areas of the backlight to make the images that you see, while OLEDs generate light themselves. Because OLEDs do not require backlighting, they consume much less power than LCDs (most of the LCD power goes to the backlighting). This is especially important for battery-operated devices such as cell phones.

OLEDs have large fields of view, about 170 degrees. Because LCDs work by blocking light, they have an inherent viewing obstacle from certain angles. OLEDs produce their own light, so they have a much wider viewing range.

The metal border surely needs a change. They are prone to scratches and the gloss gradually fades away. Most importantly iPhone needs an extended battery life. A business phone ought to have a long battery life.

I know it's complete unlikely, but it would be nice to see a memory expansion slot. SD [and mini/micro] are so cheap it would be a nice way to expand memory. But like I said, very unlikely. A man can dream, though... a man can dream...

16) Police scanner
17) Stereo bluetooth
18) Ability to listen to wireless bloothooth headset (without jumping through hoops)
19) PTT (I have not seen this but maybe it's there now)
20) Cable lock

There are probably more things that would improve on but this should be a good start.

If the release date is July 17th (for example) does that mean 2 months later in the UK? Or will it come out here at the same time...

Also, I understand the function of an FM receiver, but what does an FM transmitter do in a phone? Broadcast??

Wouldn't mind the 32GB space if i could use the iPhone as a hard drive!
ive got the 16GB and i never use all of it cause its bloody locked!
is it too much to ask for me to transfer my files from work to home without the need for a separate external hard drive? just unlock the bugger Apple.
(and before anyone else has a go at me, there is no App that supports my file types.)

Iphone only needs 2 things , get off of att and the most important Teathering.. every other phone on every other networ will act as a high speed modem for my laptop... not ATT and not IPhone

I personally think the only reason the Palm Pre will not sell well, is b/c of Sprint Network!
Also as far as iPhone 3G killer cooooome on seriously?? how many touch phones have tried competing and not even come close?? too many! HTC WM devices, Storm, Impression, and etc... too many more to name! the Palm Pre is nice just lets not classify it in the same category as an iPhone! :)
