Comments on: Alleged PS3 Slim spy photos get cease-and-desist treatment

A "mysterious" Chinese firm asked Engadget Japan to take down alleged spy photos of what may be a new, slimmer version of the PS3. Does that mean they're real?

Sony is one stubborn beyotch for still not lowering their price.

PS3 $400
Good game $60
HDMI cable $20
----------------------
Total $480 for a console with ONE game in a time where we can lose our jobs at anytime... Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!! Sony must be smoking some good crack.

Hmmm. Not quite sure why a Chinese company would be hired to represent a Japanese company - especially considering a company the size of Sony should (and probably does) have its own legal department to handle things like this.

As for the "the PS3 is too expensive as it is argument" - I'm not convinced the PS3 is "too expensive" as much as I'm convinced that those who complain thusly are simply cheapskates.

That being said - bottom line is:
Slimmer PS3 = who cares? Now, if it were a case of "here's a new PS3 that *works better* than the old PS3" I might actually give a rat's @$$, but simply "slimmer"? Sorry - don't care.
