Comments on: Attention, ladies: Manhunter bra is ridiculous

The concept bra design has a built-in digital timer indicating how much time left before the wearer must get married. Will it shame you into a sham marriage?

Don't worry Mat, I waited until I was 46 to get married and don't regret one day of my fun life! Plenty of money, freedom and women without having to answer to anyone. Don't let them pressure you and don't rush!!!!

1987?! Perhaps you missed Godzilla, Mothra, and Rodan. Or how about those poisonous little fish you eat raw to prove your manhood (if you survive).

That bra is plain ridiculous, and anybody who would actually wear something like that is just as pathetic. Matt, don't worry about being single it beats being married any day of the week! Your family may think they mean well or whatever but it is really none of their business. They were probably married back when owning somebody was the thing to do, but times change and people should too. They should think of it like this - back before the civil war, people thought it was OK to keep slaves and considered it normal.. Back in the 1950s women were treated as stupid, stay-at-home maid/servants and were expected and even encouraged to fulfill these demeaning roles. Instead of sold to the highest bidder, they were pawned off to a man who slipped a ring on their finger just like a slave owner would put shackes on the ankles of their slaves to keep them from running away. In this day and age everybody has equal access to careers and all that life offers, so marriage is not necessary to survive any longer.

You stay true to yourself and everything will be fine! :)

OMG! Why do you feel so compelled to impose your views upon others! If you're happy, do I really need to hear about it? What is so demeaning about being a housewife, maintaining a nice home, and actually raising your own children as opposed to paying someone else to do it? A lot of women are very ****ing happy staying at home and watching their children grow up. Not all of us want to live in an empty house and die alone like you.

I can't imagine why you're still single.

Whoah. Do I detect some rage.

I agree the bra is ridiculous and shouldn't be worn by any one but denegrating mothers who chose to stay at home is just wrong. I know lots of women who have college degrees but CHOOSE to stay at home to raise their children because they realise that the impact of raising their children is more important than making oodles of dollars which will be gone anyway.

?? Have you been married? If yes I am sorry that your marriage was so bad that you need to rant like that. Being a stay at home mother is NOT STUPID and MY MOTHER wasn't treated as stupid.

BTW Marriage is a union - joining as one. Not a partnership or a business transaction.

So please deal with the tech. The Bra is RIDICULOUS but don't insult people who choose to stay at home and prepare future generations for leadership.

Wear a sheer top when you go clubbing. Great novelty. must be a prototype. Is that a pen under her arm?

I must agree - unlike the other 2. It's a business not a partnership - prenuptial agreement? What the hell is that then? I know it's an agreement buy written contract but geez! You don't NEED to get married (unless you want those perks that are showered on to you when you flash your ring (bling!). Just SAY your married and you'll get a leg over (pun intended).

Relax everybody! Why can't we look at it as just another fun gadget from Japan like "Girlfriend Breast Pillow?" http://www.jlist.com/PRODUCT/NETSEA001. Do you actually think that any woman, regardless of culture, would wear something in public that makes her look fatter across the middle and has red LED's shining through her clothes? Lighten up!

Agreed! Can't anybody take a joke these days? Yes, it's ridiculous. Yes, it's tacky. Typical joke...kind of amusing unless it hits too close to home, I guess.
