Sony may be busy promoting its PlayStation Network service and all that it offers, but the feature a lot of PS3 owners are looking for is support for Netflix video streaming.

I have both the 360 and PS3, most all my movies are viewed on the PS3 due to the size of my Television. I mostly use Blu Ray for Hi Def 1080p. (No Glitches what so ever) I sometimes will drop into the Pay per view downloads on PS3. (Very few glitches in video) I did get netflix on the 360 for streaming video. (Fair amount of video glitches, this is really all about your connection) I found the resolution to be fair; the lack of titles is what kills me on this.

I think Sony has a better solution with d/l instead of streaming. I think Netflix would love to have Sony on there side, but it would be a bad move for Sony.

Just my option. (Btw: my connection is 30mb up / 30mb down)

I like the idea that th 360 has the exclusive netflix rights. But if netflix really thinks that they will make money off the PS3 when they would make WAY more money on the Wii, they will see that it won't really make such a profit.

ya dude, soccer moms and 80 years olds will really figure out how to stream netflix onto their wii. The Wii is a novelty item and not a mass media machine. It collects dust. I own both and NEVER play the Wii after i beat the 1st party titles.

sony is already behind on this. i cant believe you didnt know that already. i think sony just wants us ps3 owners to buy 30.00 bluerays.

by the way leggo diego who is you internet provider ? i never seen or heard of 30 down and especaily 30up. ?

I stand corrected on the upload it's 20 up. I do get 50 down as I pay through the nose for it. But, I use it as a business write off. It's with Verizion. I don't speed checks all the time but it seems to get to about 30mb down and 20up. I really should call them. Anyways, here is the link.

Should Sony add it? Why not...

It makes the PS3 a far better prospect all around, as the Xbox needs XboxLive Gold subscription AND a Netflix subscription to use, The PS3 would only need a Netflix subscription.

I won't even go into the standard HDD and Blu-Ray that make it a more complete media solution.

Why do you assume that Sony would offer Netflix for free on the PS3? I'm not sure how it works, but gauging from the fact that Microsoft could very easily provide their Netflix service to Xbox Silver Members (ie non-paying members) and don't, I assume that they are paying some sort of fee to Netflix for the service. In the end both companies win, though. Netflix gets more members bc of the Xbox ease of access, and vice versa. The article even stated that Netflix has showed "interest in adding its service to Sony's game console for a fee." Do you really think that Sony would PAY Netflix so it's users (who pay nothing for PSN) could access their libraries? The only thing they MIGHT gain from this would be possible PS3 sales, but not many as the Xbox (a cheaper alternative) also offers the service. Anyway, just my two cents.

it would be awesome to be able to stream it to my ps3 with my netflix account only problem is the horrible selection of titles. whether it makes it to the ps3 or not i could care less since i would rarely decide to watch a movie from its horrendous title selection available to streaming
