Correction, for under 10 year olds, over 65's and adults playing with their parents or kids or drunk friends.

If the Wii was a htpc with hdmi, then it would have a bigger audience.

So says a 12yo who goes by the nick of madrobber23, corroborated by its twin "notoapplefanbois".

tsk, tsk. Let me give you a better advice: get a real LIFE.

I haven't touched my Wii in a LOOOOONG time. Storage was a problem from the get-go but the main reason I purchased the Wii was to play some of the old-school games that I no longer own or never did via the Virtual Console. Too bad that they put a bunch of crap out - - - every SINGLE week - - - maybe if they put the A+ games out more often I'd go back and spend some money there. As it stands right now my PS3 gets a ton of attention via LBP and I play almost exclusively online on my 360. Nice job getting to a point where you've ALMOST caught up Nintendo. Maybe by the time the 4th rendition of the Wii comes out you'll add a hard drive. . . . . . . . .

You should've just downloaded a snes, nes, or gamecube modulator of the net and played for free!

"ALMOST caught up"?

The Wii has the largest audience of the next gens - period. They OWN the market, and I would anticipate that "next"-next-gen consoles will try to model themselves more akin to the Wii's successful recipe.

Based on the numbers - there's not a damned thing wrong with any "rendition" of the Wii.

So can you copy the SD card and share the love with other Wii owners?

They should have solved this a long time ago. Ultimately, I don't think that as many Wii owners noticed this as should have. Please stop playing Wii Sports and play some of the "real" games for the system.

Oh I kid! I was actually very disappointed to see that I could not directly access my SD card. Transferring from SD to the console just to play a game seemed really, really stupid. I'm glad to see the fix. But yeah, it would be nice to see Nintendo offer such an obvious feature from the beginning.

Great news indeed! Any idea if we'll be able to move existing games onto the SD card?

yes, I did this just a few minutes ago... as long as your game has save data on the Wii, there's no issue. you can play the moved game from the SD card.

Because Wii Shop Channel is sucks and ripped off your money. All old games must download for free because due to outdated games can be play for free without pay money. All new games must be 200 to 500 points. No more than 1000 points are ripped off. I need Opera for free to download for my Nintendo Wii please!!!! Freedom rules!!!

We have 2 Wiis, one for the kids, and one for the parents. I was hoping we could move files from one to the other. But no such luck. Any time I want to play something that I paid to download I have to go to the Wii that it was originally downloaded to.
