I'm fine with buying an adapter for a non-Apple set of headphones I guess, but the control scheme is a pretty annoying tradeoff for the cool factor. And Apple earbuds do not fit in my ears, so I probably would have to use this option if I didn't want to shell out for the in-ears. http://techspank.com/?p=215 Not as hard as you might think, but it's annoying to have to do.

"Anybody else think this is kind of ridiculous? Why couldn't Apple just equip the new Shuffle with a VoiceOver headphone adapter of its own? Oh, yeah, it probably collects a licensing fee from these guys. Genius. "

that and they'll make a decent profit selling their own adapter I'm sure.

Apple doesn't even know, but no students will be using new shuffle under the table at school anymore.

After months of research trying to find a decent pair of earphones for my new iPhone 3Gs. I finally came across the Scosche IDR650m. This is the perfect companion for the new iPhone. It controls the volume, jumps ahead one track with two clicks, jumps back one track with three clicks and also you can stop and play your songs without you ever having to touch your iPhone. The $99 tag is just right for this set. The sound quality is equal or better than the Bose earphones. You will not complaint of the price once you try this earphones. Thank you Scosche for creating the perfect esrphones for the iPhone 3Gs.
