Web sites launch all the time, but they also shut their doors. We highlight 15 that bit the dust this year.
Let the debate begin: Was the iPhone more important than iTunes? Was anything bigger than Google finding a great business model? CNET offers its list of the 10 most important stories of the '00s.
I have nothing bad to say about the PS3. Its a release 80 Gig and works like a champ. Had an XBox but was glad to see it go, irritating kids online and its freaking loud. I dont know anyone who is still on their first Xbox, they all had the red ring of death.
A couple of points:
-Wi-Fi doesn't cause lag, if (like anything else) its set up right.
-You don't have to have a HDTV to use the PS3, but why wouldent you?
-Blu-Ray is picking up steam, but DVDs will be around for a LONG time. Blu-rays do look great though..
-PS2 compatibility was not driving sales, thats why it was dropped (unnecessary cost)
-I've downloaded movies from PSN and games from PSN, glad the PS3 came with a hard drive unlike some ((cough)) xbox ((cough)).
-The cell processor hasnt even been tapped yet, Killzone 2 will be the first to properly utilize its functionality.
The main point is though, PS3 doesnt feel they can or need to cut costs. Its easy for us to armchair quarterback their every move, but it will all work out, wait and see...
Yeah, I guess I am a fanboy, so what?

- No pay to play NPTP - I own both systems and each has it's own merits Xbox 360 and PS3 I work for myself so money for me gets doled out to who ineed it to go to when I need it to go to them. I dont like the I have to pay to play with others. Xbox live service great cost no. I like the Blue ray ready PS3 even though don't have hd tv yet it's coming saving that live money and 99 dollar wireless adapter money for tv. PS3 Network needs to just copy the whole xbox live experience and go from there. But like I said each has it's merits Fingers crossed no red ring of death yet this is my second 360 sold the first one neede the cash.
